Superhawks Take Down Volcanoes in Final Game of Series
With the season on the line, the Volcanoes hosted the SuperHawks for game 2 of the series. The game started well for the Volcanoes, leading 29-25 after the first quarter. The Volcanoes were up 60-46 at halftime. However, the SuperHawks made a comeback after halftime and closed the lead to six at the end of the third. The SuperHawks went on to win 112-107 and take the series. This means the season for the volcanoes is finished. The final record for the season is 16-6. Elijah Ford was the leading scorer in the game, with 27 points and ten rebounds. Rashaun Coleman scored 17 points, 10 points, and seven assists. The stats from the game were mostly even. However, the Volcanoes did outrebound the SuperHawks 53-39.
We want to thank everyone who supported the Volcanoes throughout the season. We also want to say thank you to our interns, coaches, front office staff, and players who played a significant role in making this season our first winning season in The Basketball League. We also won the Pacific Northwest division this season. The Volcanoes will be back next season and looking forward to going further in the postseason.
