Volcanoes Take Down Capitals in Final Match of Regular Season Series
What a game between the Vancouver Volcanoes and the Salem Capitals on a Friday night. The Volcanoes were down 29-20 after the first quarter and 53-42 at halftime. After halftime, the Volcanoes made a comeback, but they were still losing 75-72 after the third quarter. However, in the fourth quarter, the Volcanoes scored 27 points to win the game 99-95. This win improves the Volcanoes’ record to 15-4 on the season.
Leading the charge for the Volcanoes was Elijah Ford, who scored a game-high 25 points. Markus Golder also made a significant contribution with a double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The next game is a crucial one, a battle between two teams vying for the first seed in the playoffs. The Seattle Superhawks, fresh from a dominant victory over the Emerald City Jaguars with a score of 174-93, are in town. The Volcanoes, with a 2-1 record against the SuperHawks this season, are ready for the challenge. The game is scheduled for 7 PM at Hudson’s Bay High School.
