Capitals Take Down Volcanoes in 3rd Matchup this Season

After winning against the Bighorns the night before, the Vancouver Volcanoes traveled to Salem to face off against the Capitals. The first quarter was looking good for the Volcanoes, who were leading 34-30 after the first quarter. However, in the second quarter, the Capitals made a comeback to take the lead at halftime 61-55. In the second half, it was all Capitals, who ended up winning 130-112. The Volcanoes are now 1-2 against the Capitals on the season.

With the loss, the Volcanoes fell to 7-3. Markus Golder led the team today with 31 points while grabbing six rebounds. Vincent Boumann and Caleb Coleman grabbed nine and eight rebounds, respectively. 

Our next home game is this Friday against the Emerald City Jaguars at 7 PM at Hudson’s Bay High School. Tickets are 10 dollars, and 50/50 raffle tickets are five dollars per ticket. Remember, we are raising money for the Vancouver Public Schools, and half of the game’s revenue goes to the Vancouver Public Schools.
